Fr. Michael Markhan

Msgr Christian D. Pereira

Cathedral Administrator / Vicar General

I was ordained as a priest in June 1976 and served at Cathedral for three years; spent three months in Siparia; nine years in Laventille Morvant; three years in Point Fortin; eleven years at Cathedral; nine years at Arima; less than six years in San Fernando and back at the Cathedral since September 2016.

During this period I went to Jerusalem for three months to study Bible and other religions; Boston College for one year to study pastoral leadership, and church administration. I continue to enjoy being available to people at all levels of society and at various stages of their lives. I also find joy in the liturgy of the church.
